Our production partner’s manufacturing facilities have had solar panels installed on their roofs since 2017, generating an average of 6,038,486 KWH/year. This equates to 40% of their energy requirements annually and a reduction in the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process of around 3,000 tones. With these manufacturing facilities located in several South East Asian countries, we calculated the average carbon intensity of these countries’ national grids to be 51%, meaning that just under half of the factories’ remaining energy usage not generated by their solar panels should also come from renewable sources.
