Irish big wave surfer and slab-hunter Ollie O’Flaherty is our man on the West Coast of Ireland. Growing up in Lahinch, Co Clare, he’s had waves of consequence like Riley’s and The Cliffs of Moher on his doorstep, however he’s probably best known for his standout rides at Mullaghmore in County Sligo. This is where he has had the best and scariest moments of his surfing life, and the biggest barrels in the most incredible natural arenas. It is what makes him tick. Ollie works as an environmental educator and surf coach when he’s not surfing himself, passing on his knowledge to the next generation of Irish surfing talent.
